Funded Projects
At LightOn, we actively pursue funded research and innovation projects that directly support our product strategy. Our goal is to accelerate time to market, strengthen our presence in strategic industrial ecosystems, and forge lasting partnerships across Europe. With the backing of the European Commission and Bpifrance, we collaborate with :
- Leading academic institutions
- Industry players
- public-sector organizations
to tackle real-world use cases across key verticals. These projects allow us to co-develop cutting-edge solutions, validate our technology in demanding environments, and contribute to the emergence of a sovereign, competitive European AI landscape.
Our Projects
DeployAI
DeployAI aims to make AI solutions more easily accessible and easier to deploy across Europe for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public sector organisations by creating a comprehensive AI platform for industry and the public sector. The platform will prioritise trust, ethics, and transparency.
OpenEuroLLM
The OpenEuroLLM project brings together Europe's leading AI companies and research institutions to develop high-performance, Europe-focused, multilingual foundation models for use in commercial, industrial, and public services. These transparent, open-source models will democratise access to quality AI, thereby strengthening Europe's global competitiveness.
LLMs4EU
The LLMs4EU project addresses the risk of European languages being marginalised in generative AI due to a lack of training resources. By bringing together Europe's leading AI experts from industry and academia, the project aims to preserve linguistic and cultural diversity, while enabling European SMEs to compete globally.
SCRIBE
SCRIBE is a large-scale national initiative aimed at creating powerful generative AI that serves the French industry. The project addresses a critical need: developing sovereign AI models that are performant, secure, and tailored to the French business language and to the operational realities of key economic sectors such as finance, education, and digital trust.
