This Privacy Policy presents how LightOn handles the information it collects from or about you when you access the LightOn Muse API website or use any API-related products or services provided by LightOn (“use the API”). When you access the LightOn Muse API website or use any API-related products or services provided by LightOn, you agree to be legally bound by and comply with this Privacy Policy. The information collected by LightOn and how it is handled LightOn collects information from or about you: when you provide it by registering as an API Customer when you access the LightOn Muse API website or use any API-related products or services provided by LightOn. All the data you submit to LightOn through the API, aside from generating output for you, is used to provide you high quality and secure API services, as well as to prevent abusive use of any kind.  Examples of how the information you submit through the API can be used:

  • Analysis to detect and reduce abusive use of the API (such as bias or offensive content); Analysis of anonymized – inputs and outputs to improve API-related products and services; Training and improving our models to improve the quality of the outputs;
  • Solve and avoid technical issues.

Your data will not be used by LightOn for training custom models for other customers. The information you give to LightOn can only be viewed by a small number of LightOn’s employees and its affiliates specialized in providing API services and support, as well as in monitoring the abusive use of the API.

The information you provide to LightOn is only stored as long as it is necessary for providing you with API services and monitoring the abusive use.

Tracking, Usage & Cookies Data (API Customers & End Users): 

LightOn uses tracking technologies, such as cookies, to collect certain information about your use of the API, such as access time, country, IP address, etc. You can decide which cookies you accept and which ones you don’t. Consequently, when using the Muse API website or the API, you implicitly agree to all cookies you do not disable. Note that declining certain cookies may affect your use of a website.
